Melamine and urea formaldehyde resin plants (MF/UF).

Condensation is the main process to produce MF/UF. The reaction is often carried out at boiling temperature of formaldehyde
with urea / melamine or modifier.
A batch reactor equipped with agitator and heating / cooling system is the focal point of this manufacturing unit. For heating and cooling requirement a half pipe cooling coil arrangement is used. The reactor top condenser helps capturing the vapors and liquid is recycled back or stored according to the specific product. pH of reactor contents is continuously monitored to ascertain the product quality. Once the reaction is over, cooling is done and the reactor contents are filtered before storing them in resin reservoir or cooling container. |
